Actor Kamal Haasan has landed himself in legal trouble after director and producer Lingusamy, along with co-producer Subash Chandra Bose of Thirrupathi Brothers, filed a complaint against the actor over breach of contract. According to the Thirrupathi Brothers, Kamal Haasan, joined them for a film ‘Uttama Villain.’ However, the actor made too many changes in the script leading to the failure of the film. After the movie did not do well on the big screens, the actor promised the directors to do a film with them but hasn’t followed up on it for nine years.

Lingusamy explained the reason for the failure of the film. After the failure of ‘Uttama Villain’, the Indian 2 actor promised to do a film with the Thirrupathi brothers under a budget of Rs 30 crore. However, he never fulfilled his promise. And few weeks later, the news flashed that the actor went on to do another film with another banner. In the statement shared by the Thirrupathi brothers, they also revealed that they wanted to remake the Malayalam superhit film ‘Drishyam’. However, Kamal Haasan refused to do it.

Both the brothers have filed a case with the Producer’s Council against the actor. Meanwhile, Subhash Chandra Bose has now sought the help of the Producers Association to solve the issue. However, the council has yet to respond on the matter.
