Jibraan Khan Speaks Out on Acting Opportunities After Playing Rishi in K3G
In an exclusive interview with India.com, Jibraan Khan was asked if his role in K3G helped him secure opportunities as he grew up and pursued acting. The actor straightforwardly responded that it doesn’t work that way, and further added, “This is a very false notion, just because you have worked as a kid with prolific people it doesn’t work like that. We are a very talent-friendly industry, if a director or actor sees something then only you are cast. I am pretty old now, as Rohit said, in my head if I had to be launched, I had been launched many years ago and been a superstar in my head. But it doesn’t work. Har film ki ek kismat hoti hai, har actor ki ek journey hoti hai, aur aap as an actor, you just have to be prepared ki kab vo mauka aayega and you have to hit it out of the park. (Every film has its destiny, every actor has their journey, and as an actor, you just have to be prepared for when that opportunity comes, and you have to hit it out of the park.)
Jibraan Khan Shares Behind-The-Scenes And His Experience Working on The Sets of K3G
Jibraan recalled working with actor Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. He said, “Bahaut chota tha, bahuat kam umar thi, but it was how they made me feel. I was a part of the gang, I was a part of the family, hum sab ek hi hotel main rehthe the and khana peena ek hi time par hota tha, so that was a great experience, just being around such big superstars. Not only as actors but as people, they took care of us. Kajol ma’am made me feel like I was her son. Every morning, she used to come, play with my cheeks, ruffle my hair and just go, on the other hand, Shah Rukh sir’s kids were also there. So there was always a fun thing happening, there was no bhed-bhav in the kids, and they were also part of our group. Whenever Shah Rukh sir had a break during any shot, he never went back to his van or room; he spent time with his kids.
The actor also revealed how Shah Rukh Khan used to play with him and spend time with his kids, Aryan and Suhana on the set. He added, “We did a lot of outdoor, especially, the Jana Gana Mana part, we shot in a very big college, in 4-5 months at a stretch and I definitely remember that he played with us every time he had a break, he didn’t go anywhere, he was with kids and there was security, he used to just play with us all the time. So, these are little instances that have stayed with me and it just makes me feel like itna bada superstar, itna humble kaise ho sakta hai you know. I just hope we can learn something from him, and if we achieve something in the future, we remain just as humble as him. We should strive to be like him, to influence and inspire people in the same way.”
