Addressing ex-servicemen on Veterans’ Day in Akhnoor sector of Jammu, he said PoK is nothing more than a foreign territory for Pakistan and it is being used to run the dangerous business of terrorism.
The defence minister, accompanied by J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah and lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha, also hoisted a 108-feet national flag and inaugurated a heritage museum showcasing sculptures of veterans and the weapons used in several wars and battles in J&K.
“J&K is incomplete without PoK and it is the crown jewel of India’s forehead. PoK is a foreign territory for Pakistan and they are using it for the dangerous business of terrorism,” said Singh.
He said that the government started to end militancy in J&K by abolishing Article 370 and that today the situation on the ground has changed to a great extent.
“Training camps for terrorists are still running there (PoK). Launch pads have been built in the areas adjoining the border. The Indian government knows everything. Pakistan will have to put an end to them,” Singh said.He said people living across the Line of Control are being deprived of a dignified life and that in the name of religion, the rulers of Pakistan are trying to mislead and incite them against India.
