JEE Advanced 2024 toppers’ list announced: Ved Lahoti, Dwija Patel emerge as all India male and female toppers

JEE Advanced 2024 toppers list: JEE The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has announced the results of the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Advanced 2024 today, June 9, 2024. Candidates who took the exam can now access their results on the official website at jeeadv.ac.in. The exam, conducted on May 26, saw a total participation of 180,200 candidates across Paper 1 and Paper 2.Among them, 48,248 candidates have qualified for the next stage, including 7,964 females.
The IIT Madras has also declared the toppers’ list of highest scorers in the JEE Advanced 2024. Ved Lahoti from IIT Delhi zone stands as the highest scorer among males, achieving an outstanding 355 out of 360 marks, securing the top position in the Common Rank List (CRL) at Rank 1. In the female category, Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel from the IIT Bombay zone excelled, clinching the highest rank with a CRL of 7 and a remarkable score of 332 out of 360 marks.

How is the JEE Advanced 2024 Rank List Prepared?

As per the notice released by the exam authority, the rank list is prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. To be included in the rank list, candidates must meet both the subject-wise and aggregate qualifying marks. Here’s what the notice adds-

  • Aggregate Marks Calculation: The total marks are the sum of marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
  • Maximum Aggregate Marks: 360 (180 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2).
  • Maximum Marks in Mathematics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2).
  • Maximum Marks in Physics: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2).
  • Maximum Marks in Chemistry: 120 (60 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2).
