Actress Janhvi Kapoor spoke about social media trolling and how she has not been immune to all the criticism.
Janhvi Kapoor is the daughter of late star Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. The actor has often been criticised and trolled due to her filmy background and status as a celebrity kid. Janhvi talked candidly about this topic in a recent interview, revealing how she has personally dealt with backlash and abuse because of her status quo. The actor has always been vocal about the challenges star kids face. Janhvi addressed the topic of social media trolling and how she has not been immune to it yet.
Speaking to Mashable India, Janhvi Kapoor said, “Apne aap ko serious mat lo, ye jo social media ke culture mai if you are a public figure or not a public figure ye trolling hona logo ka comment karna nahi karna ye hote raheta hai. Apko apne aap ko itna importance dena hi nahi chahiye. Aap hi iklote insaan ho is duniya mai sab log mere piche pade hai. Mere pe comment kar rahe hai it’s not that serious (Don’t take yourself seriously, this is the culture of social media, if you are a public figure or not a public figure, this keeps happening. You should not give so much importance to yourself).”
“Jin cheeso ke liye meri tarif kar rahe hai, kal unhi cheeso ke liye mujhe gali de denge toh kya mai ghar pe baith ke rone wali hu. So the way you look at yourself is more important (If they are praising me for things, tomorrow they will abuse me for those things, why am I crying while sitting at home. So the way you look at yourself is more important), ” she added.
