James Forrest insists he’s not done yet at Celtic as history-maker reveals he wants ANOTHER contract extension

JAMES FORREST admits he would love to extend his career at Celtic.

The 33-year-old winger is out of contract next summer but enjoyed a late season renaissance last season, which saw him earn a Scotland recall in time for Euro 2024.

And Forrest said: “I feel as if I’ve still got a part to play and I still love it.

“Celtic is such a massive club and I’ve been here my whole career.

“I’d love to stay on and that will maybe come into discussion at some point. I’m not sure when.”

Forrest was on the fringes of the first team for most of last season before bursting back on to the scene to help fire Celtic to the Double.

That saw him take his trophy tally to 24 and he is hoping to break Lisbon Lion Bobby Lennox’s record haul of 25 this season.

Forrest said: “The end of last season was really good. It was a few months when I really enjoyed my football.

“I’ve really enjoyed the start of this season as well.

“Obviously I’m getting older, but I really enjoy it.

“I got a good run at the end of last season and I’m feeling good again.

“I’ve not even thought about stopping to be honest. I’m just enjoying playing again.

Rangers Ibrox Return and can Celtic qualify in the Champions League?

“I’m looking forward to being involved in things like the Champions League game the other night.

“I want to keep working hard and being involved in as many games as I can.”
