To enhance user-friendliness, simplified online forms that can be filled on mobile phones have been introduced. The University has established a Center for Distance & Online Learning, aiming to provide diverse learning opportunities. A total of 57 new programmes have been introduced in the past couple of years, reflecting the institution’s commitment to academic growth.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of widening the scope of learning. Notably, the University has established a chair in collaboration with the Quality Control of India. The institution is keen on fostering academic development and inclusivity by introducing quotas for girls and sports.

A significant development is the proposed third campus in Narela. The Vice Chancellor shared that the University has received a provisional allotment letter for around 22 acres of DDA land and 160 flats in Education City in Narela for campus development. The potential disciplines for the new campus include medical sciences, advanced engineering & technology, research & development, agronomy, film-making, ayush, human resource development, international trade & diplomacy, sustainable development & strategic studies, and social responsibilities, among others.

The University has initiated the admission process for approximately 40,000 seats across 37 UG programmes, 44 PG programmes, and 35 PhD programmes. The application fee remains consistent with the previous year at Rs 1,500. This year, the University plans to increase seats in campus schools by around 1,100, introducing new programmes such as four-year BA (Economics), BA-B.Ed (Secondary) (ITEP), B.Sc (Environmental Science), B.Sc/M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Math, B.Tech (Energy Engineering), B.Tech CSE (Artificial Intelligence), B.Tech CSE (Data Science), M.Tech (Food Processing Technology).
Furthermore, the University will introduce certificate courses in Urban Green Space Management, Indian Heritage & Environmental Sustainability, Biodiversity, Applied Ecology & Conservation.
In Ph.D. programmes, new disciplines include Medicine, Industrial IoT, Automation & Robotics, AI & DS, AI & ML, Design & Innovation.
Affiliated institutes will witness the introduction of M.Tech (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science), B.Ed (Special Education – Multiple Disabilities), and B.Sc (Packaging Technology).
The University is contemplating the introduction of several other programmes, such as D. Pharma, B. Pharma, M. Pharma, BPT, four-year B.Sc (BEd), B.Com (BEd), BA (Mass Media), BBA & B.Com, and three-year LLB, pending approval from concerned statutory bodies.
The Director of Admissions, Prof. Udayan Ghose, informed that counseling for Management programmes based on CAT & CMAT and Law programmes based on CLAT will commence in April. The common entrance tests (CETs) will be conducted offline from April 27 to May 12, 2024, using OMR sheets, similar to the previous year. Counselling is scheduled to start in the first week of June and conclude by July 31, for various programmes. The new academic session is set to commence on August 1, with spot/mop-up rounds of counselling concluding by August 14. The last date to apply for all programmes is March 31, 2024.
