Dreaming of travelling the world on a cruise ship? Dreams don’t get bigger than Royal Caribbean’s latest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas.

The mammoth ship is a whopping 365m long, that’s longer than the Shard on its side, and 20 decks high.

Icon of the Seas can carry over 5,000 guests with more than 2,300 crew onboard. So what can guests expect from the massive ship?

There are seven swimming pools and nine whirlpools onboard while the ship will also have Royal Caribbean’s classic Central Park neighbourhood. Icon of the Seas will be breaking another record with the largest pool at sea.

The ship will also have a brand new neighbourhood, Surfside. This fun spot is designed for families with a kid-friendly waterpark and a pool for grownups.

Royal Caribbean is known for its ambitious shows and Icon of the Seas will have the line’s iconic Aquadome. The ship’s Aquadome show will be the first to feature robots, skateboarders and more.

Meanwhile, the ship’s Royal Theatre will feature the largest orchestra at sea while guests will also be able to watch a new Wizard of Oz production onboard.

There are at least 20 dining experiences onboard, including the Aquadome Market, a new food stand concept featuring a range of global cuisines.

Royal Caribbean fans will be pleased to see classic eateries such as Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar and Sorrento’s Pizzeria onboard.

Icon of the Seas entered her homeport of Miami for the first time on January 10 and will officially launch on January 27. Lionel Messi will christen the ship on January 23.
