The Shankar-directed ‘Indian 2’ only brought in Rs 3 crore on its fifth day of release. The film marked the reunion of Kamal Haasan and S Shankar after 28 years.
Indian 2 saw the movie stabilize following a sharp decline on the first Monday, but not in a way that would assist the Kamal Haasan movie save its performance. After opening to strong reviews in the first three days of its release, the movie has collapsed since Monday. According to Sacnilk.com, Indian 2 has made around Rs 65 crore in revenue thus far. In S Shankar’s directorial, Kamal Haasan reprise his role of Senapathy.
With this, Indian 2‘s five-day total receipts now stand at Rs 65.15 crore, the vigilante movie has made over Rs 117 crore in revenue worldwide. The movie’s chances have essentially been destroyed by its dismal box office performance in all three languages (Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi), particularly in the north. This Friday, Vicky Kaushal’s Bad Newz is probably going to destroy the movie. The comedy-drama also stars Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri in significant roles.

Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ vs Rajinikanth ‘Jailer’ And Vijay ‘Leo’
Indian 2 has minted Rs 65 crore in five days while Vijay starrer ‘Leo’ opened to Rs 64.8 crore. Last year, Rajinikanth’s Jailer had started at Rs 48.35 cr. Shankar’s last movie, 2.0, made Rs 60.25 crore on its first day of release.
The Hindi box office results for Indian 2 have also been shocking since it hasn’t exceeded Rs 4 crore in five days. Alongside Sarfira, starring Akshay Kumar, which has already grossed Rs 15.70 cr, came Indian 2.
