Realme is launching the Realme 13 Pro series of phones soon in India which will further enhance its ever-growing vast smartphone portfolio. The lineup will consist of two phones and will be heavily focused towards photography and design, as was the case with previous iterations of the Realme Pro number series. The phones are also confirmed to come packed with several next-gen AI features for enhanced imaging. Realme 13 Pro series India launch date
The Realme 13 Pro series, which will consist of the Realme 13 Pro and Realme 13 Pro+ is all set to launch on July 30th at 12 noon, per the event page on Realme’s official website.
The phones will likely be available on Flipkart and Realme’s website when released.
Realme 13 Pro series colours
Realme 13 Pro and Realme 13 Pro+ will sport the same colour shades which are Monet Gold and Emerald Green and the former could also come in a purple shade. As observed in the official renders and images on Realme’s website, it appears that only the Emerald Green option will feature a vegan leather rear panel while the gold and purple options will either carry a polycarbonate or a glass back.
Realme 13 Pro series design
The most evident design change on the Realme 13 Pro series from the Realme 12 Pro series is the omission of a vertical line that runs from the top to bottom on the rear panel. The camera island has also undergone a slight design change which now carries a “HYPERIMAGE+” text below the camera lenses.
The rear panel will be slightly curved from the edges and appears to have a matte finish with various continuous patterns on the gold and purple colour options.
The Realme 13 Pro series’ Emerald Green option has strengthened durability compared to the other colour options thanks to the Swiss SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance certification. This solution could protect the phones from accidental drops.
Realme 13 Pro series prices in India
Since the phones are set to launch in the coming few days, the pricing details are not available as of now. But if we have to speculate, the Realme 13 Pro could have a similar pricing to its predecessor, meaning it may launch anywhere between the range of Rs 26,000 to Rs 28,000. The Realme 13 Pro+ on the other hand could be priced between Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 which is the same range the Realme 12 Pro+’s price falls under.
Realme 13 Pro 5G, Realme 13 Pro+ 5G specifications
- Display: Realme hasn’t officially revealed any details related to the Realme 13 Pro series’ display. However, according to a leak, could feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. Also, if history is anything to go by, one can expect a 120Hz refresh rate support.
- Processor: The phones are confirmed to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series chipset, per Realme’s website. This processor could specifically be the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 which was revealed through a leaked Geekbench listing.
- RAM/Storage: The smartphones are expected to come in 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+ 512GB storage variants, per leaks. The phones could run on Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 custom skin out of the box.
- Realme 13 Pro+ cameras: The Realme 13 Pro+ is confirmed to pack in the 50MP Sony LYT-701 main camera sensor. Alongside that, there will be a 50MP Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom capabilities. An 8MP ultrawide camera could tag along as well. The cameras will be assisted by Realme’s AI Photography Architecture, HyperImage+ which aims to enhance images by running AI algorithms.
- Realme 13 Pro Cameras: The Realme 13 Pro could sport a similar main and ultrawide camera set-up as its ‘Pro+’ counterpart but could miss out on a telephoto or a periscope lens.
- Battery: Both phones are confirmed to feature a 5,200mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
Realme 13 Pro series: what are the upgrades?
Compared to its predecessors, the Realme 13 Pro series gets a new set of camera sensors for the main and telephoto periscope lens while the battery and charging speeds have been upgraded from 5,000mAh to 5,2000mAh and 67W to 80W respectively. Several changes have also been made in the design for a fresh breath of air. Both phones are also confirmed to carry a ton of AI features on the photography front such as AI Ultra Clarity, AI Smart Removal, AI Group Photo Enhancement, and AI Audio Zoom.
The processor, however, appears to be unchanged where Realme could yet again be settled with the 4nm-based Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. To compensate for this, the company is bringing a better cooling system to the Realme 13 Pro series for consistent performance when gaming or using the cameras for long durations.
