Imran Khan and Avantika Malik who got married in 2011, got divorced in 2019. They have a daughter together called Imaara and in a recent interview, Imran has spoken about co-parenting her with Avantika. Imran has been away from the movies for a while now but fans are waiting for his comeback now. In a recent interview, Imran shared how things are sorted now as far as their daughter’s custody is concerned, post divorce.
Talking about his divorce and the custody of his daughter, Imran told Hindustan Times, “My daughter is about to be 10 years old.We split custody. I have her with me Thursday to Sunday. So we split the week. It’s all settled and sorted.” He also spoke about being divorced and said, “I and Avantika are legally divorced. Papers are signed. It’s been a couple of years now. Again, I just didn’t consider that it was anyone’s business to speak of.”
He further revealed that he doesn’t have a nanny. He takes care of her, all by himself. “I do all of the stuff for Imara without any nanny. I drive her to school myself in the morning. I pick her up. The limited amount of cooking that I can do, I do for her. I put her to bed. And that also is something that I was very conscious… rather than going off and trying to act in movies while I’m depressed. I was like, forget that. The most important thing is she should have the memory and the experience that in my childhood, my dad was the one who would drive me to school,” said the ‘Luck’ actor.
Imran is currently dating Lekha Washington and they’ve often been spotted together. They were also seen together at Ira Khan‘s wedding.
