A FLIGHT attendant’s daughter has shared her most important pre-holiday trick that could save you in an emergency.
The simple hack only takes seconds to do but could help your holiday go more smoothly before you even get on the plane.
Tiktoker beachykj is a self-proclaimed “carry-on queen” and thinks she’s finally cracked the code of what everyone should do pre-holiday.
Her top tip is to screenshot all of the essential details you might need when travelling.
From personal itineraries and to-do lists to booking numbers, barcodes and flight logs, the social media star makes it clear you can never have too many pictures in your phone.
She said she learnt about the trick from her flight attendant mother, saying: “This is so my mother, she’d be proud of this.
“Screenshot your itineraries, always have your flight locator and your hotel conf and stuff in your phone as you never know when sometimes you can’t get Wifi or your data’s not working when you’re trying to pull it up. So annoying.”
The influencer – who goes by KJ – is a travel connoisseur after going on an average of 73 flights per year.
Later on in the viral video KJ also noted you should keep a screenshot of your passport and ID handy just in case.
Even though most places won’t accept them as a valid form of identification you never know when they’ll be vital.
Many people choose to print off important details for their holiday to keep handy but in a world where everyone has their phone in their pockets or bags a simple screenshot also does the trick.
Other tips KJ included was to check in as early as possible to your flight. Aim for 24 hours before flying and book directly with an airline.
A few more of her tips are crucial for if you’re ever caught up with a delayed flight.
She recommended bringing snacks on your carry-on luggage and carrying a power bank or portable charger with you at all times.
In terms of staying clean, KJ said wipes are always a must in her travel bags as planes can be dirty.
If you have a window seat think about wiping down the window and side of the plane and always clean your armrest and tray.
The final trick is to try and make your luggage as easy to spot as possible when you’re waiting for it to come out after you land.
A bright and unique coloured case is always a must or include something unique like a ribbon or sticker because it comes out alongside hundreds of other bags.
