Diljit Dosanjh, who is making waves across the country with his Dil-Luminati Tour, has made a bold statement during one of his concerts. The Punjabi singer has announced that he will not be performing in India again until the concert infrastructure improves.

Diljit made the announcement during his show in Chandigarh on December 14th. While the venue was jam-packed, the singer called the infrastructure inadequate and asked the authorities to improve it if they wanted his concerts to happen again.

Diljit Dosanjh Says He Will Not Perform in India Until Concert Infrastructure Improves

Diljit, who has previously performed sold-out concerts in the US and Canada, highlighted the poor state of live show facilities in India. Speaking on stage during his concert in Chandigarh, Diljit said in Punjabi, “I want to tell the designated authorities that India does not have the infrastructure for live shows. This is a big revenue-generating space.”

The Lover singer then gave a stern warning to the authorities, saying he would stop performing in India if the facilities were not looked after. “It also gives livelihood to many. Please focus on this space as well. I will not perform shows here until things improve here. Instead of troubling us, improve the infrastructure,” he added.

Diljit’s statement has left some fans concerned about the possibility of his future tours in India. On the other hand, some have praised the singer for taking a stand for artists and stressing an important issue.

Meanwhile, during the same concert, Diljit honored the youngest Chess World Champion, Gukesh Dommaraju, by dedicating the show to him. He also gave his own twist to Allu Arjun’s iconic dialog from Pushpa and said, “Saala nahi jhukega toh kya jija jhuk jayega.”

The Dil-Luminati Tour concerts have so far been held in cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Indore, and Chandigarh. The next show is being organized in Mumbai on December 19th, after which the tour will wrap up on December 29th in Guwahati.
