A MUM of three has told how she was left paralysed after gig security twice crushed her head against a barrier as she watched her favourite rock band.
Kim Alexander, 42, permanently lost the use of her left foot after stewards repeatedly dropped a reveller on her as they pulled punters to safety in a bust-up at a My Chemical Romance reunion show.
She claims she was pulled from the crowd unconscious but fell face-first into railings as she was carried out of the crowd at the Accor Arena in Paris.
Medics have now told her the injuries are permanent.
Kim, of Glasgow, said: “My Chemical Romance are my favourite band and I had been waiting years for them to reunite.
“I spent thousands of pounds following them across Europe.
“A man in the crowd was causing trouble and pushing people like he was trying to start his own mosh pit.
“At least 50 people fell over. There was a huge panic and people were rushing to get out.
“Security started pulling them from the crowd and I felt a heavy thump and my head got crushed against the barrier.
“I felt all the bones and my neck pop — I thought my neck was broken. I thought I was dying.”
Kim said she came to covered in blood before she passed out again.
The former beautician woke up in the nearby Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital wearing a neck brace.
She spent at least 18 hours on a ward drifting in and out of consciousness and underwent an emergency CT scan after the ordeal in June 2022.
Kim added: “I was in so much pain. Nobody could speak English, so I didn’t have a clue what was happening.
“Finally they discharged me and just sent me outside. My phone was dead and I have no idea how I got to my hotel.”
Kim — mum to Aimee, nine, Leo, 12, and Logan, 17 — was able to call her family when she got back to her room and flew home to Glasgow the next day.
Within weeks the strength in her hands faded, leaving her unable to hold a pen.
She went from walking up to ten miles a day to using a wheelchair after she permanently lost the use of her left foot.
Husband Ally, 39, had to quit his job as a warehouse manager to become her full-time carer and they moved to a bungalow weeks after the accident.
Kim started suffering intense migraines, put on five stone and now takes 20 pills a day.
Doctors suspected she suffered a double stroke and this month they confirmed the paralysis in her foot and damage to her spine is permanent.
Kim added: “The pain is horrendous. My mobility went quickly and my fingers and toes went from tingling to being numb.
“I had started studying to become a nurse but my dreams for the future are all gone.”
She added: “Sometimes I wake up in the morning and wish I hadn’t gone. My life has been completely ruined.”

Kim says she contacted venue bosses and the band’s management but has had no reply.
Accor Arena said: “Investigations are ongoing to understand the course of events.”
