New Delhi – Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has unveiled the highly anticipated Hyundai CRETA Electric, marking a bold step forward in India’s electric vehicle (EV) revolution. Combining the iconic design of the CRETA SUV with cutting-edge EV technology, this new model is set to redefine sustainability and performance in the Indian automotive market.
A Bold and Electrifying Design
The Hyundai CRETA Electric adopts Hyundai’s global Pixel design language, offering:
– Pixelated Graphics: Unique front and rear bumpers, LED lamps, and an integrated charging port.
– Active Air Flaps: Enhancing aerodynamics and cooling for improved efficiency.
– Aero Alloy Wheels: R17 Aero wheels with Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tyres for greater range and aerodynamics.

The CRETA Electric offers two battery options tailored for diverse needs:
– 51.4 kWh (Long Range): Delivers a driving range of 473 km with 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 7.9 seconds.
– 42 kWh: Provides a range of 390 km, ideal for urban commutes.
Charging is both rapid and flexible, with DC fast charging enabling 10%-80% charge in just 58 minutes, and an 11kW home charger achieving a full charge in 4 hours.
The Hyundai CRETA Electric integrates next-gen features:
– Vehicle-to-Load (V2L): Powers external devices from the car’s battery.
– i-Pedal Technology: Allows single-pedal driving for enhanced efficiency.
– Shift-by-Wire System: Offers seamless and futuristic gear control.
– Digital Key: Enables locking, unlocking, and starting the car via a smartphone or smartwatch.

Available in four variants—Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence—the CRETA Electric also boasts a range of colors, including three exclusive matte options. The striking ocean blue metallic with a black roof adds to its modern appeal.

Hyundai’s CRETA Electric launch aligns with its global “Progress for Humanity” mission. The company is building an EV ecosystem in India with plans for 600 fast public charging stations by 2032 and access to over 10,000 EV charging points through its myHyundai app.
