Hyundai’s commitment to electrification is further emphasized by the presence of these Ultra-Fast charging stations in public locations.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd., known for its smart mobility solutions, has successfully expanded its Ultra-High Speed Public EV Charging Network in key cities and highways across India.
The company now boasts a total of eleven Ultra-Fast charging stations, each equipped with three charging points, aiming to drive electric vehicle adoption and ease range anxiety for both city and highway travel.
According to press release, Mr. Jae Wan Ryu, Executive Director of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., stated, “At Hyundai Motor India Ltd., we have always strived to create new benchmarks and lead the industry by example. Aligned with our global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, Hyundai is always working towards the fulfilment of all its customer needs. In line with Government of India’s focus towards creating a holistic electric vehicle ecosystem, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is committed to enhance customer’s EV ownership experience. The expansion of our Ultra-Fast charging stations to 11 locations is a step in the same direction. Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is the only OEM in the country to set-up 11 Ultra-fast charging stations in public locations. We are committed to India and we will continue strengthening the charging infrastructure in line with the Indian Government’s resolve for Electrification.”
These charging stations are strategically located in cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Bangalore, as well as along major highways such as Delhi-Chandigarh and Mumbai-Surat. They offer round-the-clock service for both Hyundai and non-Hyundai EV owners, with additional amenities like coffee shops nearby.
Hyundai’s ultra-fast chargers provide a quick charging experience, especially for models like the Hyundai IONIQ 5, which can go from 10 to 80 percent charge in just 21 minutes. The charging rates are affordable, starting at INR 18 per unit, and can be conveniently accessed through Hyundai’s myHyundai app.
This initiative marks Hyundai’s ongoing commitment to supporting electric vehicle usage in India, aligning with the government’s vision for a cleaner and greener transportation future.
