Huma Qureshi has THIS to say about the rising entourage culture in Bollywood as a producer: ‘We make sure everybody gets paid well but…’ |

Huma Qureshi recently opened up about entourage culture from a producer’s point of view and on the importance of social media.
During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Huma talked about the importance of social media in today’s times. She expressed her agreement with the viewpoint that, while it is important, it isn’t the ultimate measure of success or relevance.
Qureshi also discussed the challenges producers face due to the entourage culture, particularly the large teams that actors bring along. She emphasized that, as a producer, her goal is to ensure fair compensation for everyone involved in their films without overspending.Huma also noted that excessive costs often become a burden for producers, and her experience in production has made her realize that many of these expenses do not enhance the film’s quality and are often unnecessary.
Anurag Kashyap earlier shared with Humans of Cinema that a lot of money spent on films goes toward unnecessary extras rather than the actual filmmaking. He emphasized that making a film is serious work, not a vacation. For example, if shooting in a remote location, someone might travel far just to bring a five-star burger, which distracts from the filmmaking process.
