It’s that time of year. Vanity Fair‘s sister publication, Glamour, is hosting its annual “Women of the Year” awards, celebrating the women who took 2024 by storm. This year, the event is taking place on Tuesday, October 8th and will be hosted by iconic actress and 2023 woman of the year honoree Brooke Shields alongside her very own daughter, Rowan Henchy. Together, they will honor women who have made an impact in various fields, from abortion activists Hadley Duvall and Kaitlyn Johnson to Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee.
Want to bask in the glow of Glamour‘s “Women of the Year”? Well, you’re in luck. The red carpet will be streamed live on VanityFair.com as well as on Glamour.com, and on YouTube starting at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday, October 8.
This year’s honorees include sports legends like track star Allyson Felix and tennis GOAT Serena Williams, as well as actors like Sydney Sweeney, Taraji P. Henson, and actor slash animal rights activist Pamela Anderson. The mothers of some of our favorite superstars will get the spotlight as well: Beyonce‘s mother, Tina Lawson; Billie Eilish‘s mother, Maggie Baird; Selena Gomez‘s mother, Mandy Teefey; and Travis and Jason Kelce‘s mother, Donna Kelce.
“It’s really an honor to be chosen.… But I want to be careful with all of it. I want to have integrity,” Anderson told Glamour about being selected as one of 2024’s Women of the Year. “Why do you want me to be Woman of the Year? Because I’m living my authentic life, because I’m making these choices.”
Featuring touching speeches from the honorees, Glamour‘s Women of the Year event is sure to be a memorable evening. Be sure to catch it on VF.com, Glamour.com, or on Glamour’s YouTube channel.
