The even circulation of air in the countertop appliance is the key to dodging soggy spots on chips, according to the Purewow team.

To see for yourself, preheat the air fryer to 190C for five minutes before cooking them, then arrange the fries in an even layer in the basket or tray. Next, cook the fries until warmed through and crisp, which should take just four minutes.

Those without a speedy air fryer still have options in the form of an oven or stovetop.

While the oven may not be the fastest method for reheating food, it is very effective for large quantities at once. Always start with a preheated oven set to 220C, then line a large baking tray with a sheet of parchment paper or foil.

Next, arrange the chips into one even layer on the tray and bake until warmed through and crisp, which takes just five to 10 minutes.

The final option is to use a skillet over medium heat on the stove, though it does require an extra glug of cooking oil, according to the Purewow experts.
