Lemon tart is a classic dessert to have on a lazy weekend, and it is incredibly simple to make with only five ingredients.
Jamie Oliver has shared this recipe for this tasty treat and stated lemon tart can be made from scratch in only 30 minutes.
He said: “Many wonderful desserts in the Mediterranean celebrate the bounty of citrus. I’ve embellished this lemon tart by rolling and flavouring pasty to create amazing texture, as the Portuguese and French do so well.”
This is the best recipe for anyone who fancies baking someone simple or wishes to impress guests with a mouth-watering dessert without any effort.
It goes perfectly with afternoon tea or a glass of wine so you can celebrate the start of the warmer seasons with this delicious summer treat.

Instructions:
To begin, preheat oven to 190C.
Dust a clean kitchen counter with icing sugar, and then unroll the puff pastry and disregard the paper.
Coat the pastry with icing sugar and then grate over the zest of two lemons over the pastry. Roll the pastry tightly back up and slice it into one-centimetre discs.
Rub a frying pan with olive oil, then distribute the pastry discs around the pan, and press them together to create a base.
Place the pan in the oven and bake in the bottom of the oven for 20 minutes or until the pastry is lightly golden.
While the pastry is cooking, finely grate the remaining lemons into a large bowl, and squeeze in the lemon juice (around 120ml). Then, whisk in the icing sugar and eggs.
Then place the bowl over a pot of simmering water on a medium heat. Whisk continuously for around 10 minutes or until the mixture has thickened.
When the pastry is done cooking, pour the mixture into the mature case, and then place it on a hot grill in the oven for a few minutes.
Take out the oven and leave to cool for a few minutes. Serve at room temperature with fresh raspberries scattered on top and your delicious tart is ready.
