How to Get MHW: Iceborne VIP Tickets in 40 Seconds

Since the final update, for every few weeks, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne rolls around a festival that nets you exclusive items such as VIP Tickets. These VIP Tickets can be used to craft cosmetics from room decorations to layered armor. Unfortunately, it’s pretty hard to get those Tickets since Capcom made them randomly drop after each quest you take. Unlike the regular festival Tickets, which you can get simply by logging in every day and finishing daily bounties. But not to worry, there is one extremely easy way to get those rare drops.

How to Farm VIP Tickets Quickly in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

All you need to do to get VIP Tickets fast is by farming the “Flora Frostbite” Iceborne Master Rank Event Quest. Drop down to Camp 15 and run to the nearest three Frozen Foliages just outside the camp. With a proper armor set, you should take only about 30-40 seconds to collect the 10 Iceblooms from the gathering spots.

But there are some things you need to consider when running the quest. One, to minimize the load time, start the quest in the Hoarfrost Reach region first and then do not go back to HQ or Gathering Hub. Instead, choose Return to Camp. By starting another run straight in Hoarfrost Reach your loading time should be faster than going from Astera or Seliana.

Second, the Festival armor set that you can craft using the standard Festival Tickets will increase the chance of getting VIP ones. But even with a full Festival armor set, there is still no guarantee that you will get a VIP Ticket at the end of the quest! Usually, I get about three Iceborne VIP tickets from doing the Event Quest five times.

Third, bring Assassin’s Mantle and Ghillie Mantle. Wear the Assassin’s Mantle and you will run twice as fast when no monster spots you. Ghillie Mantle, on the other hand, makes you invisible. You can use it for emergencies in case Barioth or other giant monsters are in your way of gathering Foliages.

Fourth, these are the essential Armor Skills to make your Iceborne VIP Ticket gathering go fast:

Armor Skill Name Explanation
Master Gatherer Makes your gathering animation faster and negates knockback from monsters’ attacks when gathering
Geologist Level 3 Flora FrostbiteMakes your gathering animation faster and negates knockback from monsters’ attacks when gathering
[X] Gratitude Specific armor skill you get from wearing five parts/full set of Festival armors:
– Appreciation Gratitude: Comes with Astral set, greatly increases odds of VIP Grand Appreciation Ticket drops
– Joyful Gratitude: Comes with Oolong set, greatly increases odds of VIP Joyful Ticket drops

– Sizzling Gratitude: Comes with Passion set, greatly increases odds of VIP Sizzling Spice Ticket drops

Utilize the Iceborne armor set’s Decoration slots to make your VIP Tickets farming even comfier. Such as Marathon Runner or Stamina Surge so your stamina won’t empty as fast. Intimidator to avoid getting mobbed by small monsters, et cetera. Don’t forget to eat for the Lucky Cat Skill in the Canteen to get an extra chance of bonus item rewards from finishing a quest!

To recap, here are the steps to do to farm VIP Tickets really fast in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne:

  1. Craft/wear a full set of your festival armor of choice since each armor set gives you extra chances of getting the corresponding seasonal VIP tickets. You can craft them using regular Festial event tickets, not the VIP ones :
    • Astral for VIP Grand Appreciation Ticket or New Year Festival.
    • Oolong for VIP Joyful Ticket or Autumn Festival.
    • Rose for VIP Full Bloom Ticket or Spring Festival.
    • Passion for VIP Sizzling Spice Ticket or Summer Festival.
  2. Start the “Flora Frostbite” Master Rank Event Quest on Camp 15.
  3. Run to the nearest three Frozen Foliages just outside the camp.
  4. You should take only about 30-40 seconds to collect the Iceblooms and finish the quest.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
