Running around Pet Catchers on foot can get a little tiresome, especially when the character’s base speed is equivalent to that of a tortoise. Luckily, there are handy-dandy mechanisms called Mounts that can help you navigate the Regions much faster, even without using the Beacons. Mounts can range from Hoverboards to UFOs and most of them are obtainable through Boss Fights and Minigames.
The chances of obtaining Mounts are often 1/1.2K or more, but if you grind the game long enough, you’ll soon have plenty of eye-catching Mounts to brag about to your friends. Plus, you’ll look so much cooler traveling around the Regions.
How To Get Every Mount in Pet Catchers
Hoverboard
Your first opportunity to get a Hoverboard comes from Phony Hawk, the NPC found in Mellow Meadows. Talk to Phony Hawk to initiate a set of Quests and eventually obtain the Hoverboard. It might not be anything special, but it certainly gives you a helpful speed boost.
Golden Jetpack
The Golden Jetpack can be obtained by clicking the large pink noticeboard behind Phony Hawk. It costs 349 Robux to get the VIP Game Pass, which will award you with an exclusive Pet and the illusive Golden Jetpack. After using an online calculator, 349 Robux comes out to around $4.50, unless you buy Robux in bulk.
8 Pool Ball
The first Boss Fight you will encounter is the King Slime, found in Auburn Woods. If you talk to The Blacksmith, he will ask you to defeat the Slimes bouncing around. Defeat enough of them and you’ll be ready to take on the King Slime. This Boss Fight gives you a 1.2K chance of winning an 8 Pool Ball mount.
Comet Hoverboard
The next Boss comes in Sunset Shores in the form of The Kraken. In order to initiate the Boss Fight, simply approach The Kraken’s lair and ensure to equip your best team of Pets. The Comet Hoverboard is a possible reward for defeating The Kraken and you have 1/2K chance of getting it.
Ray Mount
You will be pleased to discover that you won’t have to wrestle with a kraken to get the Ray Mount. Instead, head over to one of the many fishing spots scattered around the entire map — found in numerous Regions — and fish for as long as you possibly can without getting bored. It would be beneficial to get your hands on a Diamond Rod and add a few Elixirs to the mix to increase your chances.
Bruh’s Mount
After reaching Frosty Peaks, you will find an NPC by the name Bruh. Once you complete the main quest “Da Crew” — which involves defeating Armored Snowmen — Bruh will begin to randomly assign you quests. Complete 250 of these quests to unlock Bruh’s Mount.
Old Sailor’s Turtle
Over at Sunset Shores, you will encounter another NPC called the Old Sailor. If you walk up to his board, you will see the Turtle Mount can be obtained upon completion of 200 quests. Just repeat the steps as you did with Bruh’s Mount.
Ancient Dig Minigame Jetpack
Beyond Sunset Shores, in Dusty Dunes, you will find the Ancient Dig Minigame. Just talk to the Archeologist and you will see that the Jetpack (not the Golden one, just a regular one) is a 1/5K chance after completing the Minigame.
Boombox Mount
Head on over to Gloomy Grotto for the chance to get a Boombox Mount. Simply talk to the Dance Champion to initiate the Minigame and you have a 1/2.5K chance of getting it.
UFO Mount (Limited Time)
For a limited time only, players can get the UFO Mount. There are several methods to obtain the Mount, including the Ancient Dig Minigame, Dance Off! Minigame, The Kraken Boss Fight, and the King Slime Boss Fight.
- Ancient Dig: 1/10K chance
- Dance Off!: 1/4K chance
- Kraken Boss Fight: 1/8K chance
- King Slime Boss Fight: 1/8K chance
Prismatic Hoverboard
And finally, the rarest mount in Pet Catchers is the Prismatic Hoverboard. This can only be obtained by defeating a Prismatic Slime and just to give you an idea of how rare it is, the Prismatic Slime has a 1/1K chance of spawning. However, it can spawn in any Region. The Prismatic Hoverboard is labeled a “unbelievably rare” and so it might take a few attempts.
