The Bishnoi gang took the responsibility of the four gun shots fired outside Salman Khan’s house on Sunday. Here’s how the gang planned and executed the entire incident.
Mumbai: Two men on a motorbike fired four rounds of gunshots outside Salman Khan‘s Galaxy Apartments in the Bandra area in Mumbai on Sunday at around 5 am. The police vehicle which is usually stationed outside the apartment was not present there at that time. The CCTV installed outside the actor’s building captured the two men walking away, sporting casual caps and carrying backpacks. The Mumbai Police, which had already increased Salman’s security following the death threats that came last year, confirmed that the Sunday attack on his residence was also executed by the members of the Bishnoi Gang. The report came after Anmol Bishnoi released a note on Facebook, claiming responsibility for the attack, and also issuing yet another warning to the Bollywood superstar. But, how was the attack planned? Who is the mastermind and the shooters behind it and how was the whole plan executed? Here are a few points to note:
- As per a report published in NDTV, the plan behind the shooting was formed in the US where Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is settled. Anmol got another US-based gangster who goes by the name Rohit Godara on board and gave him the task of appointing two shooters to execute the plan.
- Godara is known for establishing a huge network of professional shooters in India. He is also involved in many high-profile murder cases including the killing of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.
- Vishal aka Kalu was selected as one of the primary shooters to perform the task. He is a wanted criminal involved in the March killing of Gurugram-based businessman Sachin Munjal. It was Rohit Godara who claimed responsibility for the murder via a social media post earlier this year.
- Vishal and the other unidentified member first bought a second-hand motorcycle from the Raigad district in Maharashtra and travelled to Mumbai. They reached Salman’s residence via Panvel, lived in the city for 15 days before the incident and started looking for the best opportunity to fire shots at the building.
- The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which earlier revealed that Salman Khan topped Bishnoi’s list of 10 main targets, has been requesting detailed information about the case. Even the Maharashtra ATS has requested for more information. The case has now been transferred to the Mumbai crime branch and there have been new additions to Salman’s Y+ security.
The constant threats to Salman and the shooting incident are attributed to the actor’s name in the blackbuck hunting case that dates back to 1998. The actor is accused of killing a blackbuck, considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, and is protected under the Wildlife Act 1972. The case is still sub judice at the Jodhpur High Court.
