A HOT TUB sparked a balcony fire which tore through a new-build home.
Firefighters from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene at St Eval, near Wadebridge, yesterday to reports of the blaze.

On arrival at the development, crews found the property already “well alight”.
“The fire has spread to the roof space and firefighters are using a 135 ladder, hose reels and breathing apparatus to fight the blaze,” they said at the time.
Roof materials and solar panels were removed as work continued to extinguish the flames.
Photos taken in the aftermath show the windows destroyed, with the house itself badly damaged.
Padstow Community Fire Station said: “Early this morning we were called to attend a fire on a balcony.
“Following a second call from the occupants further resources from Newquay Community Fire Station and St Columb Community Fire Station were mobilised.
“On arrival the property was well alight with the fire spreading to the interior. The crew acted quickly to prevent the incident escalating.
“We were soon backed up by oncoming appliances and worked together to extinguish the fire. The water carrier from Wadebridge Community Fire Station was requested to supplement a limited water supply.
“Padstow remained on scene damping down and checking for hotspots, returning to station at 12:30.”
No-one sustained any injuries during the fire. The cause remains unclear.
