Aaman Devgan, Ajay Devgan’s nephew, is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the movie Azaad. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, it also stars Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, in the lead role. Ajay plays a special role in the action drama, which is all set to release on January 17, 2025. BollywoodLife got in a candid chat with Aaman and we asked him about the movie and his experience working with his uncle.
Aaman Devgan on working with Ajay Devgn
In an interaction with BollywoodLife’s Pooja Darade, Aaman Devgan was asked if working with Ajay Devgn felt like he had a safe space or if he was concerned, considering his uncle was watching him act. The Azaad star answered, “I was concerned that he was watching me perform. There was a slight comfort because I have worked with him as an assistant (director), but not as an actor. For my first scene with him, I was very nervous. So I had to really myself down and stick with my character; try to view him as his character and not Ajay Devgn, as that was what rattling me. Hopefully it has come out well.”
Further in this entertainment news, we also asked Aaman how Azaad got him out of his comfort zone. The debutant actor revealed, “I think the conditions where we were shooting were very harsh. We are shooting in certain locations where the temperature went up to 50 degrees, which obviously everyone is not used to. Working in that is even harder. Not just us; the way the entire crew has pushed through, probably them harder. It was fantastic the way everyone just pulled together and hopefully we’ve come back with a good thing.”
Meanwhile, Aaman Devgan recently signed his second movie, a horror comedy titled Jhalak. It will be directed by Umang Vyas and created under Devgn Films and Panorama Studios.
