Emmy Awards 2024 took place on Sunday at Peacock theatre in Los Angeles. It is for the second time in the year that Emmy Awards that felicitate the Television industry took place. Back in January 2024, Emmy Awards took place as it got postponed from last year due to strikes in Hollywood. From September 2023, it got pushed to January 2024. Now, in September 2024, once again Emmy Awards 2024 took place and some of the major shows and actors won big. The ceremony was hosted by Eugene Levy, Dan Levy and some of the biggest names like Mindy Kaling, Martin Sheen, Selena Gomez, George Lopez and others were the presenters. Among all, the historical drama Shogun won as many as 18 awards in different categories and made for the headlines in entertainment news. Hiroyuki Sanada won the Best Actor Award while Anna Sawai won the Best Actress in Drama series for Shogun. It also got awarded as the Best Drama Series of this year. Helmer Frederick E.O. Toye also took home the trophy as the Best Director. Hacks that stars Jeen Smart and others and is available on Netflix won the Best Comedy Series award. Writers of Hacks, Lucia Aniello, Paul W Downs and Jen Statsky won trophy for the comedy series. Jeen Smart also won the Best Actress In Comedy Series award. Jeremy Allen White won the Best Actor in Comedy Series award for The Bear. Ebon Moss-Bachrach also won Best Supporting Actor in Comedy Series for The Bear that is on Disney+Hotstar. Liza Colon-Zayas won Best Supporting Actress in Comedy Series for The Bear. Billy Crudup won the award of Best Supporting Actor in Drama Series in The Morning Show.

Apart from these, The Traitors won the Best Reality Competition Program Award. Best Talk Show Series award was given to The Daily Show. Best Limited or Anthology Series award was presented to Baby Reindeer. Dark Horses by Will Smith is also on the list of the big winners of the night.
