Shimla (Himachal Pradesh): As cloudburst wreaked havoc in HP, a massive rescue operation by CISF is underway in Samej village. Cloudburst followed by flashfloods caused widespread destruction in Kullu, Mandi and Shimla regions. The cloudburst took place on the intervening night of July 31 and August 1. As per authorities, as many as 6 bodies have been recovered and several are still missing. Over 60 houses were washed away and several villages were severely affected. On cloud burst incident in Himachal Pradesh, the Special Secretary of Disaster Management, DC Rana said that 6 bodies have been recovered and 47 people are missing. He further said that over 60 houses have been washed away, and numerous villages have been severely affected by the floods.
