Heartbroken Heinz Beans fans have taken to social media after the food giant scrapped an iconic product.
The Five Beans variety – combining haricot, pinto, cannellini, borlotti and red kidney beans in Heinz’s renowned rich, tomatoey sauce – was a firm favourite amongst consumers.
However, lovers of this convenient breakfast staple have been left gutted as it has been axed.
One fan took their disappointment to X, formerly Twitter, asking: “The Heinz 5 bean snap pots appear to have been discontinued. Will they be making a comeback or are they gone for good? “
Heinz confirmed that the product “is no longer produced in the snap pot”, according to BirminghamLive.
“These pots are ideal for one person – no waste! Tasty and the reduced sugar ones are really great and healthy too” sang one satisfied customer.”
“They are ideal for a single adult portion or a joint portion for my children,” agreed another.
“These are the most original ones and make a great choice for the jacket potato and easy to heat up and eat,” shared a third fan.
Since its launch, enthusiasts of the product have praised its quality and convenience.
Customer reviews on Asda state that the item is “mess-free, portionable and microwavable pots. One of your five a day. Absolutely no artificial colours. Naturally high in protein and fibre. Gluten-free and low in fat.”
Heinz also reassured customers who were upset about the discontinuation stating: “Good news for those who can’t get enough of Beanz… you can dive into the same rich, tomatoey sauce brimming with not one, but five mighty bean varieties.
