Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is an epic tale of love, power, retribution, and independence, set against the backdrop of the 1940s Indian freedom fight. The series explores the cultural realities of Heeramandi in great detail via the tales of courtesans and their customers. The show centers on the war for control of Heeramandi, a place where courtesans rule as queens, between arch-rivals Mallikajaan and Fareedan. The plot revolves around Mallikajaan’s youngest daughter Alam during this battle, who ends up being the final hope for the future.
Along with Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, and Richa Chadha in key parts, the film’s main cast includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal.
