Has THIS PSL coach secretly applied for the Kaizer Chiefs job?

Kaizer Chiefs could be edging ever so closer to making their final decision on their new coach.

Chiefs are searching for a new coach, who will come in with his own technical staff for the new season.

It’s believed Chiefs are willing to give the new coach and his staff authority to lead them in a new era. Amakhosi have not won silverware for the past nine years now and currently fighting to finish in the top eight. The risk of going a full decade without a trophy is surely giving the club’s management sleepless nights. It is for this reason that, this next coaching appointment could be undoubtedly the most significant in the clubs history.

Chiefs looking for a new coach

Currently interim coach Cavin Johnson initially harboured ambitions of becoming the permanent coach at Chiefs. A run which saw Chiefs winning three of their last four games of 2024, saw Johnson in with a shout. But now according to the latest, the club are back looking at other candidates. There have been the likes of Pitso Mosimane and Manqoba Mngqithi in a local sense. Internationally, Jose Peseiro, Vanderlei Luxembergo , Raul Caneda Perez and Nasreddine Nabi.

There have also been some surprise names who have been thrown into the hat. The likes of Roger de Sa and Ace Khuse.

But that might not be where it ends, as a certain PSL coacher was caught seemingly flirting with Chiefs. This being TS Galaxy’s Sead Ramovic! The coach has always been complimentary when speaking about Amakhosi and is believed to be after a top job in the country. Speaking after the two clubs played to a 1-1 draw, he sounded like a man who was keen to test the waters on the other side!

Ramovic throwing his name in the hat?

“I also want to congratulate this beautiful amazing club Chiefs, very strong team and I hope they will come back even stronger because Chiefs actually belongs in the top three and I think in the future they will do the things better because this is a quality club, beautiful supporters,” said Ramovic as per KickOff.com

It may be that Ramovic is just a nice coach, was in a good mood or genuinely appreciates the club. But the choice of words and tone seems pretty ominous when he knows there’s a vacancy at Chiefs.
