Along with August, the list of holidays for the last week of July has also been released by the state administration.

New Delhi: Students in schools under the Haryana Board will get 10 days of holidays including Saturdays and Sundays. This information was shared by the state government which released the list of holidays for August.

According to the communique, apart from two Sundays, July 21 and 28, there will be a holiday on Udham Singh Martyrdom Day which is on July 31.

Below is the list of School Holidays in August in Haryana

  1. August 4: Sunday
  2. August 7: Hariyali Teej
  3. August 10: Second Saturday
  4. August 11: Sunday
  5. August 15: Independence Day
  6. August 16: Compensatory holiday declared
  7. August 18: Sunday
  8. August 19: Rakshabandhan
  9. August 25: Sunday
  10. August 26: Janmashtami

Meanwhile, given the heavy rainfall in Karnataka and Kerala, the Uttara Kannada district deputy commissioner (DC) Laxmipriya earlier declared a holiday for all schools and PU colleges in Karwar, Ankola, Kumta, Honnavar, Bhatkal, Sirsi, Siddapur, Yellapur, Dandeli, and Joida taluks on Monday, citing ’red alert’ issued by India Meteorological Department (IMD), reported PTI.
