Karan Veer Mehra was declared the winner of Bigg Boss 18 during the show’s grand finale which was aired on January 19. After 104 days in the controversial house which saw a blend of drama, tough tasks, multiple tiffs, and millions of votes, the grand finale of Bigg Boss 18 saw Karan Veer Mehra and Vivian Dsena competing for the Bigg Boss trophy and winner title. While talking to ANI, Karan had shared his thoughts on winning the show. “I feel very happy. I am the chosen one. I did the rare task of winning back-to-back reality shows. I believed in myself. I worked hard and aimed for the top, and it happened. I came to know a few things about me, like that I am an emotional person. Before, when I used to cry over little things, I felt bad. But now, I believe that it’s okay. ”
Such was the impact of the show that its grand finale shattered all records and scored a TRP of 3.1. In addition to the tough fight between the top 6 contestants, the grand finale also saw several performances and appearances from top stars that kept the viewers glued to the TV screens.
The grand finale got a lot more special when superstar Aamir Khan made an unforgettable appearance. He had appeared on the show to promote his son Junaid Khan’s movie Loveyapaa, which also stars Khushi Kapoor. Aamir Khan appeared on the show for the first time in the last 18 years. Both superstars, Salman and Aamir, clearly had a blast together. But nothing can be pitted against them recreating a super iconic moment from their 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna! The duo got onto a red bike and nailed that unforgettable scene to the track ‘Do Mastane Chale’. Within minutes, the moment went viral.
During his chat with Salman, Aamir told him they should plan Andaz Apna Apna 2 soon. “Karna chahiye hume Andaz Apna Apna 2,” Aamir had said. To this, Salman replied, “ho sakta hai”.
The final competition between the top 2- Vivian Dsena and Karan Veer Mehra- on stage too remained unforgettable for the viewers. Bigg Boss 18 grand finale was also attended by Veer Pahariya who had come to promote his upcoming film Sky Force. Although Veer was accompanied by Akshay Kumar too, he left the set without filming his segment. The reason for his exit was Salman Khan.
