The Google Pixel 9 series including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold are set to launch on August 13th globally. The company already shared a glimpse of the phones, showing off the design. Besides this, we’ve come across multiple renders too. Joining the list are the new Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL renders. These images show the real difference between the two lies in the overall size and the number of cameras on the back panel. 

Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro XL design revealed

  • The Google Pixel 9 renders show the already teased Pink colourway and this looks quite immersive and unique compared to the black and grey colourways.
  • The bigger Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is shown off in the apparent Porcelain colour option.
  • The volume rocker and power button are present on the right edge and are placed in a comfortable position.
  • As we have already seen, the rear camera module on the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL has significant protrusion and there are up to triple camera sensors. 

Speaking of cameras, a recent leak revealed the vanilla Pixel 9 will feature a 50MP Samsung GNK 1/1.31-inch main sensor and a a 50MP Sony IMX858 1/2.51-inch ultrawide camera. There will be a 10.5MP Samsung 3J1 1/3-inch selfie camera with autofocus. 

On the other hand, the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will have a 50MP IMX858 ultrawide camera, a 50MP Samsung GNK primary camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto camera with OIS. The Pro phones will reportedly feature a 50MP IMX858 selfie shooter.

Google Pixel 9 series: what we know so far

  • The Pixel 9 series phones will reportedly arrive with the new Tensor G4 chipset, which is still made by Samsung. There are reports of a new Samsung Exynos Modem 5400.
  • The phones are expected to come with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. 
  • All three phones are likely to boot Android 14 out of the box and will be equipped with several new AI features.
  • The Pixel 9 is rumoured to be priced at EUR 899 (approx Rs 81,900) and EUR 999 (approx Rs 91,000) for the 128GB and 256GB variants.
  • The Pixel 9 Pro variant will likely cost EUR 1,099 (approx Rs 100,100) for the 128GB, EUR 1,199 (approx Rs 109,200) for the 256GB model, and EUR 1,329 (around Rs 121,100) for the 512GB storage, respectively.
  • Pixel 9 Pro XL might be priced at EUR 1,188 (around Rs 108,200) for the 128GB variant, EUR 1,299 (around Rs 118,400) for the 256GB model, EUR 1,429 (approx Rs 130,200) for the 512GB variant, and EUR 1,689 for the 1TB variant.
