A GLASGOW pub has called out ‘fascist’ protestors after 40 ‘right wing ultras’ tried to storm the bar.
Hundreds gathered in the city’s George Square on Saturday for the Tommy Robinson-backed pro-UK rally and an anti-racism counter-protest.
Scores of protestors turned out for each side and cops separated the two crowds to prevent any trouble from kicking off.
Dozens of Celtic ultras dressed in all black tried to walk into George Square near where hundreds of anti-immigration protestors were gathered – many of whom were waving Union Jack flags and singing Rule, Britannia.
But they were met by scores of cops who kettled the young men in and marched the group past the demonstrators.
After things had quietened down at George Square, a mob of far-right protestors tried to launch an attack on a nearby Irish pub.

Videos circulating on social media show half a dozen cops chasing the yobs dressed in all black away from the High Street venue.
Witnesses reported seeing the group throwing bottles and fighting with police outside the popular city centre bar.
Glasgow boozer McChuills took to Instagram to share their version of events, encouraging pub-goers to “stand in solidarity” against ‘fascists’ with them.
They wrote: “Earlier today a group of up to 40 right-wing ultras attempted to attack McChuills. They failed.
“As ever, McChuills stands against fascists and racism in all its forms. This is a place where everyone is welcome, no matter who they support, who they love, who they worship or how they vote. With one exception, which we made very clear this afternoon.
“Nobody was hurt and we continue as normal. All events in the bar and venue tonight are now free entry. Come on down, have a good night and stand in solidarity with all of us here.
“McChuills. Anti-fascist since 1993.”
Folk flocked to the comments to react to their post.
One wrote: “Glad you’re ok under the circumstances. Sending love!”
Another said: “Well done standing your ground.”
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
