Gippy Grewal recalls upsetting Salman Khan during his first meeting, reveals how Diljit Dosanjh came to his rescue

Punjabi singer-actor Gippy Grewal recently shared a story about his first encounter with Salman Khan, where he almost unintentionally disappointed the superstar with a compliment about his physique.
During his conversation with Mashable India, Gippy Grewal recalled his first meeting with Salman Khan, where he complimented the actor’s physique by saying, “Paji, you’ve built nice biceps.”
Salman seemed puzzled and simply responded with a “Huh?” Realizing the situation, Diljit Dosanjh, who was with Gippy at the time, advised him to avoid such comments, warning that Salman might get upset.Gippy remembered Diljit telling him not to make those remarks as it could anger Salman.
Recently, Salman Khan made an appearance at the trailer launch of the Punjabi filmMaujaan Hi Maujaan‘, which stars Gippy Grewal in the lead role. The duo even posed together for the media at the event.
Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh, who has often expressed his admiration for Salman Khan, recalled his excitement at meeting the superstar in Punjab while he was filming Bodyguard.
Diljit told PTI that he was shooting a Punjabi film at the time and was eager to get a picture with Salman. He recounted, “When I found out Salman sir was in town, I was thrilled and wanted to meet him. I asked several people, and eventually, I found someone who could help me visit him on set.”
On the work front, Salman Khan is currently gearing up for the highly anticipated film ‘Sikander’, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film will also feature Rashmika Mandanna, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.
The film is scheduled to release on the big screen on Eid 2025.
