FBI wanted posters for the Lockerbie bombing suspects have gone on sale in a ghoulish attempt to cash in on the 35th anniversary of the atrocity.
The 8.5in x 13in cardboard ten most-wanted flyers are described as “rare first editions” issued in 1995.
They feature mugshots of suspects Lamen Khalifa Fhimah and Abdelbaset al-Megrahi and are being offered for nearly £300 by AbeBooks, which is owned by online giant Amazon.
But campaigners called the sale offensive and an insult to the 270 killed when Pan Am flight 103 was blown up over Scotland on December 21, 1988.
Phil Geddes, who this week led a campaign to stop Next and Amazon selling Pan Am-themed Christmas jumpers, is haunted by his memories of the explosion as a young boy in Lockerbie.
The dad-of-four, 39, said: “I’ve no idea the kind of person who would want to buy or sell these.
“They have absolutely no value.
“It’s a blatant attempt to cash in on the misery of the people here and monetise a terrorist atrocity.
“It’s abhorrent.”
AbeBooks has been approached for comment.
