After a spectacular opening 36 minutes or so, the game has been suspended due to adverse weather conditions.
Ange Postecoglu has been through this experience before during his coaching time in Asia, where this situation is far more common.
ITV’s VAR specialist Christina Unkel says the usual protocol is a 30 minute suspension if there is a lightning strike within 10 miles.
If there is another lightning strike, usually the timer would be reset, but this time the game is in the hands of Michael Oliver, and an allocated UEFA official.
