Full moon expected to appear THIS MONTH
According to the website Moon Giant, the next lunar event we can see is expected to appear on 26 January, 2024.
January’s moon is called the Wolf Moon. It’s named thisbecause wolves are often at the height of their activity during this time of the year.
Even though South Africa doesn’t have many wolves, the name is still associated with January’s lunar event.
Full moon: When is February’s full moon
February’s full moon is expected to appear on the last day of the month, says Time and Date.

It’s special because this moon happens in a leap year, which happens only once every fourth. This gives February month an extra day, extending the month to 29 days.

The last day of February, 2024 will be extra bright – and announce the next month.

This isn’t the only special event for 2024.
There’s also a solar eclipse expected for this year, appearing to the United States and Canada. The full solar eclipse comes in April, though isn’t visible from Southern Africa.
