Full list of schools CLOSED in Scotland as snow & brutal -15C freeze sparks second day of chaos

A NUMBER of schools in Scotland have closed for a second day as an Arctic blast tightens its grip on the country.

Scots face another day of cold temperatures and travel disruption after overnight lows dropped below freezing.

Northern parts of the country are set to be hit by the worst of the weather again, with the Met Office saying heavy snow is possible in these areas today.

A yellow warning is in place for snow and ice across Scotland until 11am.

Temperatures could dip as low as -15C during the cold snap.

And the freezing weather has forced several schools and nurseries to shut again today.

In the Highland Council area, 15 schools and 12 nurseries have remained closed.

Some schools in Abderdeenshire are still closed, and some have had their opening delayed.

All schools in Shetland except two are shut again today.
