India are coming off an emphatic 2-0 win over Bangladesh last month, while the New Zealand cricket team suffered a 0-2 whitewash against Sri Lanka in the Emerald Nation. The Blackcaps will be without their star batter Kane Williamson for the 1st Test, who is ruled out following an injury, and will be led by Tom Latham, instead of Tim Southee, who stepped down from his post earlier this year. New Zealand national cricket team will also be without the services of Ben Sears, who is out of the tour due to a knee injury, and has been replaced by Jacob Duffy.
