Vivo V40 Lite first look

• The Vivo V40 Lite official-looking images reveal the complete design of the phone and the colour options. The handset will feature a curved-edge design with reasonably slim bezels around the screen and a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout.

• The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge. The middle frame appears to be made of plastic, probably to keep the price in check.
• Flipping the phone, you see a large circular module to house the triple camera sensors and an Aura smart light. There is no Zeiss branding like the standard Vivo V40.
• The phone can be seen in White and Maroon colours. The latter offers a textured dual-tone-like design.

Sudhanshu tells us the Vivo V40 Lite will be priced at EUR 399 (approx Rs 35,900) for the 8GB + 256GB model. 

Vivo V40 Lite specifications: what are the upgrades

• The Vivo V40 Lite is expected to sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2400X1080 pixels resolution. This is slightly bigger than the 6.67-inch panel on the Vivo V30 Lite.
• The handset will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. In comparison, the Vivo V30 Lite came with Snapdragon 685, while the 5G version shipped with Snapdragon 695.
• The chipset will be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
• The Vivo V40 Lite will pack a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP sensor. In comparison, the Vivo V30 Lite 5G came with a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple-camera setup.
• The phone might house a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies. For context, the V30 Lite has a 50MP shooter for selfies.
• The Vivo phone is likely to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The battery capacity is bumped up from the 4,800mAh cell on the Vivo V30 Lite 5G.
• The Vivo V40 Lite could be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM support, an IP64 rating and 8GB virtual RAM support.
• Lastly, the Vivo V40 Lite is likely to boot Android 14-based Funtouch OS custom skin.
