OPPO F27 Pro to launch as first IP69-rated phone in India

  • As per information shared by tipster Ishan Agarwal, the OPPO F27 Pro will feature an IP69 rating, which is the highest level of protection for water, dust, and even debris. This would make the OPPO F27 Pro the first IP69-rated phone in India. It’s worth mentioning that flagships like the Galaxy S24 and iPhone 15 don’t have this rating and IP68 is the best we’ve gotten yet.
  • The OPPO F27 Pro is also tipped to feature a 3D curved AMOLED display sourced from the brand. Its display specs haven’t been revealed yet. 
  • Leaked images accessed by us of the OPPO F27 Pro also show a leather back design with a cosmos ring design. It has a blue-coloured strip running in the middle with black on the sides. 
  • The camera module also has a matching blue metal ring going around the sensors. Overall, the design looks unique for OPPO. 

There’s no specific launch date revealed yet, but it’s said to happen in June. We’re also yet to know about the OPPO F27 Pro specifications, but we should start hearing more soon.

The last F-series phone OPPO launched in India was the OPPO F25 Pro. The device arrived in India earlier this year in February, and here’s a recap of the OPPO F25 Pro specs.

  • Display: The OPPO F25 Pro features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with 1,110 nits peak brightness and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. 
  • Processor: The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset.
  • RAM and storage: It is available with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. 
  • Cameras: The OPPO F25 Pro has a 64MP OmniVision OV64B primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, you get a 32MP Sony IMX615 front camera.
  • Software: On the software front, the OPPO F25 Pro runs Android 14-based ColorOS 14.
  • Battery, charging: It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
