The Pixel 9 Pro Fold launch is scheduled for August 13th alongside the Pixel 9 smartphones. With the new foldable, Google has changed the naming scheme making it part of the Pixel 9 series. Last week, we shared the Pixel 9 Pro Fold renders showing its complete design and colours. Now, 91mobiles has another leak that reveals the promo images and US pricing of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold courtesy of OnLeaks.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold US pricing
- According to OnLeaks, the Pixel 9 Pro will launch in two variants: 256GB and 512GB priced at $1,799 (Rs 1,50,649 approx) and $1,919 (Rs 1,60,698 approx), respectively.
- Going by this pricing, it’s the same as the original Pixel Fold that launched last year. So Google hasn’t increased the price of its second foldable.
- The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is set to launch in India as well making it the first Google foldable to debut here. Its pricing would be interesting as the US models already carry a hefty price tag.
We’ve already given a good look at the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s design. The new foldable will be available in Obsidian and Porcelain colours. The promo images reveal a bit more about the device, and more importantly its display specifications. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will feature an 8-inch Super Actua main display and a 6.3-inch Actua cover display. In comparison to the Pixel Fold, the new model has a bigger screen on both sides.
As expected, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will come with AI features including Circle to Search, Magic Editor, and Best Take. It also has the new ‘Add Me’ feature that uses AI to add someone to the group shot. It looks like the feature requires the photo to be taken in the same place and AI will adjust it to make it look like the group was together.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be equipped with the Titan M2 security chip and built-in VPN. Inside the box, you’ll get a USB Type-C to Type-C cable and a SIM ejector tool along with the phone of course. So Google won’t be shipping a charging adapter with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
As for the rest of its specs, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset with up to 16GB of RAM. It could feature a 48MP main camera, a 10.5MP ultra-wide camera and a 10.8MP telephoto camera. For selfies, the foldable could house a 10MP camera.
