Ananya Panday made her debut with Dharma Productions’ Student Of The Year 2 (2019), which also starred Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. But she has had the best time of her career has been the last one year. Her OTT movie Kho Gaye Hum Kahan released in the last week of December 2023. This year, she was seen in the web series Call Me Bae and the OTT film CTRL. All these projects and Ananya’s work in them received appreciation from the audience.

During an actresses’ round table with Bollywood Hungama, when Ananya was asked if these projects were planned to release in this order, she said, “I don’t think it was really planned this way. I shot all of it last year in one bunch together. And I didn’t know when it was going to come out. Then it was up to the producers and the director when they want to release it.”
But Ananya did mention that subconsciously she could sense a change in herself post her film Gehraiyaan. “The kind of work I was gravitating towards; the kind of directors I want to work with, it was just happening,” she said. “Every time I was getting a narration, the kind of things I like was automatically shifting. I was like, no I want something more, juicier, I wanted to see more for myself. So it was more of a change inside but it wasn’t really planned because I didn’t know where most of the stuff was going. I shot Kho Gaye first, then I shot CTRL and then I shot Call Me Bae.”
Ananya then surprised everyone by revealing that the audience believes these three projects to be some sort of a trilogy. “All (are) so different but everyone calls it like a social media trilogy for some reason. And now in hindsight, I am like, okay yeah they were all like Gen-Z stories. So, now I really need to do something older,” she said.
