Amol Parashar, who has become a household name after playing the youngest brother in Tripling and featuring in films like Sardar Udham and Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, recently shared some of the interesting experiences he has had as an actor. In this exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Amol discussed what is scarier for him to do as an actor. While the actor confessed that he isn’t really nervous when it comes to acting, he confessed that he is quite uncomfortable doing intimate scenes despite all the precautions around him.

“I don’t know if it’s an 100% answer but intimacy on camera (can be quite scary). I think at that point of time, everyone is a bit nervous,” he told Bollywood Hungama. Amol went on to explain his point and shared, “It is an intimate human experience which you are trying to recreate with a bunch of mostly strangers. No matter how much you know your co-stars, it is generally not enough (for this). Yes, you do exchange a bit of small talk, warm greetings but it is not like you humanly know the other person. So, to recreate that kind of intimacy in front of 50 other people who are saying cut, camera, action – ‘this is not right, let’s do it again’ etc. (can be quite daunting). While even though it appears smooth on screen, it (the process) doesn’t happen that smoothly.”
Parashar went on to add, “First you sit there, and there is light coming on to you, and you are sitting there doing nothing for five minutes, everyone is nervous, their legs are shaking, you don’t know how it is going to be. (I agree) that there are intimacy coordinators these days, there is also more awareness but despite all of these things, I think, whoever I have spoken to by far, have confessed that they are at least a little nervous about (doing such scenes).”
Speaking of his current work commitments, Amol Parashar revealed that he is currently planning to focus on writing scripts since he is currently on a break from shoots and will be resuming it in some time.
