The travel experts at eurochange have recommended some affordable destinations for Britons looking for a getaway this year.
According to the team, one of this year’s best-value destinations is Kotor on the coast of Montenegro.
A spokesperson said: “Montenegro is quickly becoming one of the most popular up-and-coming destinations in Europe.
“A less crowded alternative to Croatia, it offers similar quaint towns, gorgeous beaches and a stunning coastline, but it is around 20-30 percent cheaper.
“Kotor, a coastal town in Montenegro, is well worth a visit. This town offers outstanding natural beauty, looking out onto beautiful bright blue waters, and is one of the best preserved medieval towns in the whole of Europe.
“This is a great spot if you’re after a chilled, slow-paced holiday, without having to pay extortionate prices.”
The Bay of Kotor is one of Europe’s prettiest spots and the city’s old town is the ideal spot for a wander.
