Esha Deol recently revisited memories from her appearance on Koffee with Karan nearly two decades ago, reminiscing about her decision to wear a salwar kurta on the renowned celebrity chat show. She revealed that host Karan Johar was surprised by her unconventional choice of attire for the program. Esha candidly admitted that she opted for the traditional outfit because she anticipated that her father, Dharmendra, would watch the episode once it aired.

“I have to go back and watch that interview because I don’t really remember what I said. I remember it being a fun, spontaneous interview and the main thing I remember is also that I wore a salwar-kurta and Karan (Johar) was like (shows amused expression) and I was like, ‘Maybe dad watches this, I better be well dressed’. So, I made Rockymake a salwar-kurta for me,” Esha told India Today.
Esha also stated that she can’t recall ever claiming she was self-reflective about her failure on KWK. The actress recalled her comments about failure and self-reflection on KJo’s show and stated that she no longer agrees with them. “I said this back then? I don’t know why I spoke and gave so much philosophy then. I am getting myself in trouble with what I said then. I don’t think it resonates to what I am today,” Esha added.
Meanwhile, Esha Deol announced her divorce with Bharat Takhtani in February of this year. The couple, which married in 2012, ended their relationship after 11 years together. Esha and Bharat disclosed in a joint statement that they have decided to divorce “mutually and amicably”. “We have mutually and cordially agreed to part ways. The best interests and wellbeing of our two children are and will be our top priority as we navigate this transition in our life. “We would appreciate it if our privacy was respected,” the statement read.
Esha and Bharat have two children, Radhya and Miraya, who are six and four years old, respectively.
