In the afternoon, around 15.30, MEPs will discuss with Commission Vice-President Schinas the management of Europe’s external borders and the role of the EU Border and Coast Guard Agency FRONTEX.

In brief
Rule of law across the EU. Later in the afternoon, plenary will take stock of the state of European values across member states, based on the latest assessment by the Commission, in a debate with Commission Vice-President Jourová.
EU support to increasing taxes on the super-rich. In this session’s topical debate, starting around 13.00, MEPs will debate with Commission Vice-President Schinas a proposal to raise taxes on the world’s super-rich to end poverty and reduce inequality.
Human rights. From around 19.00, plenary will consider the case of Bülent Mumay in Türkiye, the cases of unjustly imprisoned Uyghurs in China, and the situation of women’s rights in Iraq. Three separate resolutions will be put to a vote on Thursday.

At noon, MEPs will vote on draft resolutions on:
- strengthening Moldova’s resilience against Russian interference ahead of the upcoming presidential elections and a constitutional referendum on EU integration, and
- the democratic backsliding and threats to political pluralism in Georgia.
