Famous YouTuber Elvish Yadav has once again made headlines for his involvement in the snake venom case. The 26-year-old social media influencer appeared at the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) zonal office in Lucknow on Thursday in connection with the case and was questioned for eight hours. Elvish was previously asked to appear at the Lucknow office but had expressed his inability to attend and requested the agency for an additional three days.

Following this, Elvish was called in on September 5. This is not the first time he has been questioned; he was also interrogated in July. ED officials are trying to determine the source from which Elvish obtained and supplied the snake venom at rave parties. Additionally, a case against him has been registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in Lucknow following an FIR filed by the Noida Police.

What Was the Snake Venom Case?

Elvish raised eyebrows when the case involving the alleged use of snake venom as a recreational drug at rave parties in Noida last year surfaced. It was later revealed that Elvish was one of the prime accused in the matter, as he arranged the snake venom for his parties and used snakes in his video shoots.

In November last year, the police uncovered a snake smuggling racket during a raid at a banquet hall in Noida’s Sector 51. Five individuals, including four snake charmers, were arrested for supplying snake venom. The authorities also recovered nine snakes, including cobras, and venom. A subsequent forensic investigation confirmed the presence of cobra and krait venom in the seized samples.

Former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi also accused Elvish of illegally selling snake venom and sought his immediate arrest.
