Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki has certainly underperformed as compared to his last two blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan this year. However, the Rajkumar Hirani directorial has taken a good start at the box office. But it seems like the movie’s collections are getting severely affected because of Prabhas starrer Salaar, which released on Friday.
According to Sacnilk, Dunki has witnessed a further drop in its collection on day 3. The movie, also starring Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal among others, is struggling to hold its ground as the Prashanth Neel directorial is wreaking havoc at the box office globally.
As per early estimaes, the SRK’s film is set to earn over Rs 18.95 crore on Saturday. It raked in Rs 30 crore nett on its opening day and Rs 20 crore on Friday. The film’s 3-day total now stands at Rs 68.27 crore.

Dunki opened to mixed reviews from the critics and audiences alike. Several critics were underwhelmed by the much-discussed film, described as a comedy drama centred on illegal immigration, and the frenzy didn’t quite reach the fever pitch of Shah Rukh’s earlier two releases didn’t matter much to his die-hard fans.

Salaar, on the other hand, also had a good start at the box office as it collected Rs 15.50 crore nett in Hindi. It minted Rs 95 crore nett for all languages on its opening day. It remains to be seen how Dunki and Salaar will fare at the box office in the days to come.
